The house and grounds
An old parsonage by the sea.
The venue consists of the white main building and an adjacent house, with 42 beds across seven rooms in total. Both houses have shower and toilet facilities. Meals are prepared in a newly renovated industrial kitchen and served in the large dining room — or you can cook for yourselves.

Seven rooms of varying sizes, from small bunk rooms to large loft rooms that can fit an entire group. Bed linen can be hired, or bring your own.
Kitchen and dining room
Newly renovated kitchen — and room for everyone at the table.
The industrial kitchen was fully renovated in 2020, with a professional oven and dedicated washing-up station. Groups can choose full board with us cooking, or hire the kitchen and cater for themselves.
The dining room has long tables with room for the whole group, and opens through to the lounge.
Common rooms
Fireplace, sofas and a view to the sea.
After a day outdoors the group gathers in the large fireplace lounge, or in the sunroom with windows on three sides. Plenty of space for both quiet time and togetherness.

The old school
Skavlnes school.
Further out on Skogsøya stands the old village school — an ochre-yellow two-storey timber building, still in use. In partnership with Vesterålen Turlag it is open as a trekking cabin with 25 beds, shower and toilet.
The school is a fine base for hiking on the island. Booking and prices are on its own page.

The venue has all the equipment needed for an active week outdoors. Other equipment can be borrowed by arrangement.

Boat
The boat on the fjord.
We have a seaworthy boat used for fishing and travel along the Vesterålen coast. It is at the heart of many activities — from fishing trips on the fjord to shuttling between the islets.
The boat and floating jetty are available by arrangement. Get in touch in advance and we will put a plan together.
